It was reversed July 3, 2008 under pressure from environment groups.
Happy 4th of July, Patriots!

Didn’t you know? Getting news from YA? I wonder how many people agree with our government and want solar banned (for 2 years or 20 or so).

So, after my “source of questionability” has been challenged and I have “prevailed”, the question remains… do you agree that solar projects should be banned?

no. i don’t see any reason why it should be. it’s hardly a controversial source of power. it’s not like we are going to use up all the sunlight

The gov stopped building solar plants on public (aka government, taxpayer, etc.) owned undeveloped land. Large photovoltaic arrays on natural, undisturbed land may have an ecological impact. Therefore, they put a hold on it so they could asses the potential impact.

The way you phrased your question made it seem as though there is something inherently bad about solar energy (dangerous, etc.), and it was becoming illegal, for instance, for a person to put them on their roof. This is NOT the case.
