it depends on the shape of their heads. owls face forward so they see forward like we do. parakeets’ eyes are on the side of their head so they can only see forward a little bit. it is easier for them to turn their heads so they can see more of you.

We have a cat and im not sure if he has fleas but i think he does. I was wondering if steam cleaning can be effective in destroying the fleas in my carpet if I do it a lot. My parents WONT buy anything at all. I am desperate so please help me.
Yes. Even vacuuming can help. Steam cleaning will certainly kill off any fleas around.. especially if you use hot steam. You really need to invest in some frontline or something for your cat though.
And if they are ‘just biting you’ you probably have bed bugs or something like that.

fleas are not easy to get rid of, steam cleaning will work, but it would have to be done about every two weeks, they just keep breeding.

don’t give an African Grey a cuttle bone. The shell on the back is very sharp when broken. It will literally cut up a birds gizzard. My friend lost two of her Greys within a week or so apart. The vet came back with the same thing on both birds. They died from internal bleeding from pcs of the cuttle bone shell slicing up the inside of their gizzard. I get three clutches a year from my pair. They lay four eggs per nest and usually hatch three babies. They feed them well until I pull them. They have never seen a cuttle bone since I have owned them.
Here is what I feed my parrots. I breed Amazons as well as Greys.
1 cup Amazon Bean Mix, half dozen grapes, two fig newtons, four raw peanuts in the shell, 1 tbsp of raw almonds, about 1/8 of a green apple, 1/2 cup pigeon grains soaked over night in water, 1/2 cup of frozen corn and green peas, fresh uncooked beets, chopped greens, (kale, mustard, dandelion)
to this I add a pinch of Nekton MSA, a pinch of Pro Boost, and about 1/2 tsp of organic palm fruit oil. I give them this every morning in a bowl. I also give them Zupreem Breeders Pellets in a hopper and they have them all the time. I feed this to my birds from the time my lights hit 13 hours until the last baby is pulled from the nest. On the Greys I know from experience when they are about ready to lay. I start giving them the soft food about three weeks before they are due to lay. My birds were about 50 - 60 grams heavier than their birds were at a earlier date. So if their baby were 300 grams at a certain age, my babies would weigh 350 -360 grams at the same age. I have three in the nest now. This is their second clutch this year. They will lay again about the middle of October. I have never had a bit of problem with them as far a calcium goes. She lays four eggs every time and has since I bought them three years ago. Usually they hatch three eggs out of the four.
The cage size that I use is 4′ x 4′ x 6′ long. It is constructed out of 1/2″ x 1″ welded wire that was washed down with white vinegar twice. I have a nest that is the grandfather style. It is 36″ tall and is 14″ x 14″. They are a wild caught pair. I don’t know how old they are. They are very seldom out in the cage. She look very small you can see her bones and she always at the bottom of the fish bowl.. i had a pretty Red betta in the bowl with her but she still didn’t eat so i took her out of the bowl and put her in her own bowl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think somethings wrong with my fish…
sounds like she has a swim bladder problem eg pseudomonas fluorescens and aeromonas hydrophila which cause the fish to lose control of buoyancy,causing severe stress and death swin bladder destroys bacteria it is added over 2 days to avoid shock to yr fish once u have done this she should eat and get well again hope this helps u out

do you know your water chemistry? did you cycle the tank? how big is the tank/bowl? even though a lot of people don’t think so bettas need a filter, a heater and a tank of at least 5gals to be happy. do that and trust me she will change a whole lot. google “bettas fish” and get more info about them.
if its a boy then get him to a vet QUICK! my cat did the same thing . if cats dont have enough fluid their pee freezez up and they cant function. if this is the case there will be a small operation

Maybe it’s sick. You most likely should take it to a vet. They’ll have better answers since we can’t actually look at and touch the kitten.
My cat rarely plays on her own. She always meows by her food dish, and my family won’t stick to a feeding plan or anything. My dad always says, “feed the cat” when she meows. He doesn’t even check to see if thats what she needs, but she always eats the food in her dish
start by decreasing how much you give her every time you feed her. so, keep feeding her the same # of times each day (should be no more than once or twice), but cut the amount by 25% then 50%, etc.
when you’re not feeding her, remove the food dish out of site. it’s a big no to have a food dish with even dry food in there all the time.
and do other stuff to occupy her time - like play with her. tell your Dad to stop giving her food to quiet her. it’s not the answer.

Keep them indoors. They can be litter trained very easily. If keeping them outdoors, then buy a very large sturdy hutch (as big as you can) and get a hutch snuggle (looks like bacofoil) to keep them warm in winter and cool in summer.
Rabbits need to be vaccinated against myxomatosis and VHD twice a year. Also look out for teeth problems, if this goes unchecked the rabbit will need surgery. Get nails trimmed regularly by vet.
Don’t change their feed quickly but gradually or else they can die.
Ensure fresh water everyday and also loads of hay. Don’t overfeed with pellets and give some fresh veg every day but not lettuce, mine like brocolli and carrots. Use an all in one feed rather than colourful ones with different things in it or else they may selectively eat and this can lead to malnutrition and don’t feed them seetcorn or popcorn kernals! (Even though it is in some feed, it is bad for them)
They need cuddles and excercise everyday so secure your garden as they can get out through the smallest gaps (or dig out) or else buy a good sized run for it to play in.
Get pet insurance as rabbits can have a lot of medical problems (not all but you could be unlucky) Petplan are good.
Get a good vet as not all vets are good at looking after rabbits!
Get them neutered, seems cruel but it better for their health and also stops any aggression.
Don’t house them with a guinea pig but house with another rabbit if possible (but neuter so no babies)

To clean the cage EVERY DAY.Give it fresh food,hay,and vegetables every day.Groom it at least twice a week (shorthair) or every day (longhair) grooming a sh bunny helps to bond with it and is good for dominance.Exercise bunny daily (on harness and lead or running free supervised in fully fenced yard)
Give bunny woodblocks (from pet shop) to chew on
Take bunny to vet once a year for health check and boosters and twice a year for dental checks.Worm bunny every three months.
If bunny runs loose in the house,keep cables out of reach and clean the litter tray everday.
DONT go to a pet shop or byb.Go to a GOOD breeder or a rescue to obtain your bunny.
Ask breeder or rescue manager for more advice.
Feed the food previous owners have fed and if you want to change it,change it GRADUALLY.

as to why? i dunno something in the eyes, the way they strut…the whole superstition thing about them…..both my siblings claim they saw a black cat in their room when they awoke in the mid of the night and everything in the house was locked…both were on different occasions
I definitely find cats creepy. I couldn’t tell you exactly why, but I think it is because they remind me of evil magic( you know black cats and witches).

I find them intriguing! You never know what is going on in that head. And their eyes are just stunning! It is kinda creepy when they jump up and do the crazy cat run without any provocation, but hell, it’s really entertaining after the initial startle.
No I like cats but some can look scary if they have no ears or something or those hairless cats, those are creepy.
